The infant boy found dead in a Rocky Mount dumpster on February 7th was laid to rest Friday. The baby boy, who officials say was naked with his umbilical cord still attached, was discovered among the trash by a bystander searching for recyclables earlier this month. Concerned citizens and county officials attended the funeral held at the Oakland Cemetery in the Nashville town of Nash County. The funeral service for the baby boy was provided by the Nash County Social Services department. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Rocky Mount police at 252-972-1443.
