Hooked On Meth At 13

From big cities to rural towns, no one is immune. Crystal methamphetamine or otherwise known as meth can cause increased blood pressure, bone deterioration and death. Most common is what's known as meth teeth, which is the drug's ability to break down tooth enamel. Experts say the drug is so addictive, partly because of its ability to produce a longer more intense high.

We spoke with an Eastern Carolina mother, who wanted to keep her identity concealed, but says she became hooked after only a few uses. Kristy says she was able to successfully get off crystal meth. She says she's been drug free for over ten years.
