On Monday the NAACP will celebrate its 98th birthday, but Sunday night, members presented one of their own with a plague of excellence.
William Worthington Junior was the first Vice President of the NAACP for the Greenville chapter. He currently resides in Raleigh, but he came to Greenville to celebrate Pitt County's Founder's day program at Mount Calvary Free Will Baptist Church.
