Johnston County sheriff's detectives have arrested a 44-year-old father who they say tried to entice a 14-year-old girl to a Greensboro mall for a sexual rendezvous.
The girl was actually detectives posing as a young girl.
A spokeswoman for the sheriff's office says they receivd a tip about the man several months ago. She says detectives then began chatting with him online, posing as a young Greensboro girl.
Instead of meeting a girl playing hooky from school, the man was confronted by a team of detectives.
David Wayne Forsyth of Four Oaks is being brought back to Johnston County to face a charge of soliciting a child by computer to commit unlawful sex acts.
