Adam Cournoyer can tell a story about characters from the salty sea. He's a 29-year-old fisherman who lives in Kinston. Cournoyer's set to make a splash with his story as a crewman of the "Timothy Michael," an 80-foot New England lobster-fishing boat to be featured this summer on the Discovery Channel series, "Lobstermen: Fury at Sea."
Cournoyer is a native of Tuscon, Arizona. He began lobster fishing aboard the "Timothy Michael" at age 21, while working a job as a gas station attendant in New England.
It didn't take long before high-seas adventures captured Cournoyer as hard as the lobsters in his traps. Lobstering, he says, is tough work but always interesting. Cournoyer says on every trip he still sees things he's never seen before.
