A North Carolina man as been arrested after
his four-year-old daughter was found decapitated.
Clayton police say they found John Violette's vehicle parked at
the Raleigh-Durham airport and learned he had taken a flight to
Washington, D.C. Authorities used credit card information to track
him down at a hotel near Capitol Hill.
Clayton police Lieutenant Jon Gerrell says
investigators haven't found any history of domestic or mental
health problems at the home. They still have no leads as to a
possible motive in the killing.
Amber Violette told police Friday evening she had found her
daughter, Katlin, with her head severed from her body.
An "edged weapon" believe to have been used in the killing was
found in the house, though Gerrell declined to give more details.
Police plan to charge Violette with murder.
