Investigators still don't know what caused a plane headed from Eastern Carolina to crash just west of Charlotte Sunday killing all four people onboard.
The small plane was en route from the Dare County town of Manteo to Shelby when it crashed into a yard around 11:30 a.m. about three miles from the airport. The engine was embedded into a house. No one was hurt on the ground, but several families were displaced. The Cessna was registered to Jim Chitty of Shelby, according to aviation officials. The flight plan listed a pilot and three passengers. The names of the victims have not been released.
