Undercover officers rounded up several people during a prostitution sting Wednesday night.
Greenville police say 5 people face multiple charges. 31-year-old Antoinette Fleet, 27-year-old Jennifer Gurganus, and 45-year-old Rosa Williams are charged with solicitation for prostitution of an undercover officer. 42-year-old Cecelio Chavez is charged with crimes against nature and 27-year-old Uriel Roblero is accused of solicitation.
Detectives say on Chestnut and Columbia Avenue in Greenville, the women would stop vehicles offering sexual favors for money. Residents who live in the area say they've seen the activity lately and are thankful officers made the arrests.
"It makes me feel a little better, that they're actually doing their job and cleaning up the streets a little bit," said nearby Resident Staci Trent.
Greenville Police say their impact team conducts these types of operations often in high risk areas.
