Horses Crowding on Outer Banks

It's been quite a mating season for the wild horses on the Outer Banks.

The herd now sits about 108 animals after 30 foals were born this year. That number is almost 50 above the population called for in a management plan. Managers now must look ways to adopt off the horses, or possibly even some form of birth control. If you would like to adopt a horse, you can go online to www.corollawildhorses.com. The horses should be up for adoption after they are 10 months old.
