Just ask the students at the Chicod School in Pitt County. Throughout the week, hundreds of the schools' students raised money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation one coin at a time. The students brought in a different coin each day. Tuesday was a penny; Wednesday a nickel; Thursday a dime and Friday a quarter. One first grade teacher says some of the Chicod School faculty will also participate in Saturday's JDRF walk in Greenville at the Pitt County Fairgrounds. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the walk kicks off at 10:30.
