Federal investigators say the fire at a hazardous waste plant in Apex may have started where pool chlorination chemicals were stored.
Officials from the Chemical Safety Board say the first portion of their investigation has been completed. The board also says the mixture of chemicals at the EQ Industrial Services plant caused an uncontrolled reaction that produced flammable vapor October fifth.
