A Georgia company that recycles coal ash into road-building material is building a new facility in Rocky Mount. Full Circle Solutions already has a plant in town, but wants the new facility in place by mid-December.
Officials of the Woodstock, Georgia, company plan to invest 800-thousand dollars in the 25-thousand square-foot plant and hire 14 full-time workers.
Full Circle takes ash from nearby coal-burning plant and uses it to make paving and fill materials instead of dumping the waste into landfills. It's had a facility in Rocky Mount since 1989.
