Nobody knows yet what the outcome will be of the 2008 presidential election. But Elizabeth Edwards says she's already a winner in one regard: She's a happier person than Hillary Rodham Clinton.
The wife of former North Carolina Senator John Edwards says she
and Clinton made some similar moves early in their lives, such as
going to law school and marrying lawyers. But Edwards said today
that choices she made afterward have left her "more joyful" than
the senator from New York.
Edwards made the remarks yesterday in Washington at a luncheon
sponsored by the Ladies Home Journal.
She said she doesn't know Hillary Clinton very well, but she
expects Clinton will be "a formidable opponent" for her husband
should the two run for the Democratic nomination in two years.
