A Holly Springs man is accused of soliciting sex over the Internet from what he believed to be a woman and her ten-year-old daughter. Authorities say he was really communicating with a federal agent in Charlotte.
Authorities say Frederick Stephen Klee met the woman in an
Internet chat room and almost immediately began sending suggestive
messages. Over several weeks, they say he arranged to meet with the
woman and her child in Boone.
Klee was arrested in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant
in Boone in late September. He's being held pending an appearance
next month in federal court in Statesville. His lawyer declined to
talk about the case.
