Video Poker Ban Moves Forward

North Carolina's ban on video poker machines can move forward. A superior court judge Thursday denied a request from video poker operators to temporarily block the first phase of a state ban on the machines. The ruling means beginning Sunday, locations are only allowed to have a maximum of two video poker machines. The group wanted the restraining order in place while its lawsuit questioning the constitutionality of the law moves forward.
