An undercover sting lands five people in the slammer after a drug bust in Beaufort County.

It happened on Friday at 724 North Market Street in Washington.
Beaufort County Sheriff Deputies did a two month undercover sting buying marijaunna from the suspects.

Lawmen say when they entered the home on Friday they found 5 people with marijunna in their pocket.

Deputies say the sting resulted from neighborhood complaints.

In response to "T" from Washington, I was not talking about the 5 guys that were just arrested in Washington for Marijuana. I was referring to the Mr. Crinch that stole Christmas from so many ppl in Dec.08. You tell me where you have found "his" name for his "latest crime", and I will apologize for the oversite. Until then, keep your eyes posted out for the "REAL MR. CRINCH". He may be in your neighborhood. Heck, he's probably out on bail (compliments to certain ppl)right now. And in response to "Tina" in Manteo, I agree with you that our FDA should pay closer attention to what goes in our foods and cleaning products. But I was referring to the "local news" in Washington and Beaufort County. We have a serious problem with ppl getting into trouble and not having to pay for their crimes just because they become an "informat" for a while.

Is it election time again already? Why are deputies working in the city of Washington while neglecting the county? Washington does have a police force already. I never see deputies in the Edwards area. My neighbors don't all go to town at once for fear some one will break in. My mother is scared to go out after darkness set in because of people walking the road all hours of the night. Are sheriffs afraid to come to Edwards and surrounding areas after dark, or is it election time again?

I believe America should start worrying about the more serious drugs. Like maybe the crap that is allowed into our FOOD. Better yet how about most of our household cleaners. How toxic are the dryer sheets allowed to use?? Legal drugs n aspirin kills more people a year than marijuana.

In response to Bewildereds comments: I feel the same way. How come some of the people that are arrested, never seem to go to court and pay for their crimes. I KNOW of several *criminals* that have gotten off scott-free just for becoming the laws informats. What is this community coming to? Do we not have the right to see that these criminals pay for their crimes? Why is it that the law decides who gets off scott-free and who has to serve the time and pay the fine? Does our community not get a say so in this? Are these the kinds of lawmakers we need in Beaufort Co.? For instance, there is a man with the nickname BEAVER, that was charged in the Crinches That Stole Christmas in 08, and he has still not went to court for that crime. And now Bewildered has commented that he was just arrested AGAIN...for Breaking and Entering??? I stand with Bewildered...lets SEE some JUSTICE for these crimes. Lets SEE these criminals go to Court for the crime and pay the FINE!!!!

Y is it that when someone is "busted", U never C their names in the news? Is their "charge" so meaningless, that they can get off just by becoming an "informat" and getting paid to turn others in? I mean, hey guys, one of the "Crinchs that stole Christmas 08 is STILL out on bond..and I hear that he was just "busted" again for breaking into a DR's office...what gives? Is he the Presidents son or sometning? I think NOT!! Can you tell me why the "Ms Crinch" is still behind bars, yet "Mr. Crinch" is still out on the prowel doing his "thing" and not having to pay his dues, per say? Lets hear a response to this from the ones who's homes were broke into in Dec 08, during the whole "Crinches that stole Christmas" story. I want to know the REAL story behind this. Why is the law letting off so many "criminals"? Lets hear some NOISE about this whole thing...here ye...here ye...lets all come to court and find out the truth!!!!

"H" this little snippet on the internet is not what I read in the newspaper. There was more to it than "marijuana in their pockets." The woman was charged with maintaining a dwelling for the sale of illicit drugs (sic) because they had witnessed the sale of drugs from the house.

"An undercover sting"....the lead off sounds like a major drug op was busted....then this...."they found 5 people with marijunna in their pocket"....MAJOR DRUG BUST....rofl....sounds to me like there was enough for personal use on them but not a major drug trafficking op taken down by any means.
