With several military bases in the Tarheel State, North Carolina is spending big bucks on improving the quality of military life.
Our state plans to spend one million dollars on various military installations and programs. Out of that one million, Camp Lejeune will receive nearly $400,000.
The state legislature approved the spending last year when the Pentagon was considering whether to realign or close some military bases across the country.
