Sheriff's deputies in Cecil County, Maryland shot and critically wounded a Washington, North Carolina man Monday morning who was wanted on felony charges.
Michael Warner, 36 years old, is now in a hospital in Delaware. The shooting followed two chases. Police stopped Warner in his car with stop sticks, but then he fled on foot. A state trooper pursued him to a wooded area and lost him. Hours later, Warner was spotted again, shots were exchanged and Warner was hit.
Authorities say the revolver he had on him had been fired three times. Warner was wanted by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office for breaking and entering, larceny and safecracking.
