Lenoir County Race Still Not Over

Possible irregularities are keeping the State Board of Elections from giving its approval on a state house race. Back in May, incumbent Lenoir County Republican State Representative Stephen Laroque, lost to challenger Willie Ray Starling by only eleven votes. Laroque later complained of irregularities at polling places. Elections officials in Lenoir County say they found discrepancies. The State Board of Elections will hold more hearings next month.
