ECU Using Ethanol Blend

It could be one of the fuels of the future. And for East Carolina University, the future is now. Ethanol fuel is now being used in all of ECU's motor fleets. Campus officials say it's not just the rising cost of gas, but the lower chances of environmental harm that brought about the change. ECU officials say the E-10 mixture, or gasohol, contains 90 percent gasoline and 10 percent ethanol, and means a 10 percent reduction in petroleum use for their vehicles. In addition, campus fleets will soon use re-manufactured motor oil.
