North Carolina Workers

North Carolina's jobless rate has dropped for the second consecutive month. The state Employment Security Commission says the rate fell to
four-point-three percent in April, down from four-point-five percent in March and four-point-six percent in February. Seasonally adjusted figures show an increase of 22-thousand-688 employed workers to more than four-point-two million workers in April. North Carolina's unemployment rate was five-point-two percent in April of 2004, just above the national rate of five-point-one percent.
