A scary moment for some boys scouts and their leaders Sunday after their boat capsized off the shores of Beaufort County.
It happened near the end of Mauls Point Road in Blounts Bay off the Pamlico River Sunday morning. Coast Guard officials say 8 people made it safely to shore. Several rescue agencies were on the scene around 10:30 to help with the rescue if needed. The kids and adults were attending this weekends Boy Scout Jamboree. No word on why the boat capsized, but luckily no injuries were reported.
