Firemen were using parts of their uniforms for a good cause Sunday, their boots in particular.
Its all part of the Fire Fighters Association's Annual Fill the Boot Fundraiser drive. Fire fighters, paramedics, and other emergency personnel were out in force at three locations around Greenville Sunday, collecting loose change and dollar bills for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, or MDA, which will help fund ALS research. Its a fundraiser fire fighters have been doing for quite some time, nearly 52 years.
Two years ago, fire fighters raised 6,000 dollars, so this year their goal was to hit 10,000.
