Election officials in Eastern Carolina are gearing up for voters Tuesday. In Craven County, officials say ballots are ready, voting machines are up and running, and poll workers have completed necessary training.
Craven County Director of Elections Tiffiney Miller says typically, voter turnout in a primary election is low. She hopes that will not be the case this year, saying it is essential citizens cast their vote because if your candidate doesn't make it through the primary, you can't vote on them in November.
