The city of Greenville has a new top cop. Monday, city manager Wayne Bowers introduced William J. Anderson as the new police chief. Anderson is currently the chief of police for Elizabeth City and has been with that force since 2003. Bowers says he has the strategies and goals to be a good leader.
Chief Joe Simonowich announced his retirement last fall. Anderson officially takes over the reigns at the Greenville Police Department June 5.
