Polls will be open bright and early Tuesday morning for the primary elections across Eastern Carolina.
This primary marks the first time that every county must use new voting machines that create a paper record of each ballot. The changes are in response to the 4,500 electronic votes lost in Carteret County in 2004.
With the new machines, you choose your candidate and then feed the ballot into the machine.
Polls open at 6:30 a.m. and stay open until 7:30 p.m. across Eastern Carolina Tuesday. You can find all the election results on WITN-TV or on WITNTV.com.
