Spring breaks aren't just for fun. Some area high school juniors are using the time off to check out colleges. Velvet Reynolds is a school counselor at South Central High School in Winterville. She says while the internet is a good starting point, it's important for students to actually go to the college they're interested in. Once there, they need to find out the basics like course curriculum, cost and if the school has guaranteed student housing. Reynolds also suggests students visit classes while there. Reynolds offers the same advice for students considering community colleges.
