A Wilson couple is the latest to win $100,000 in the North Carolina Lottery.
Vernon Evans and his wife Tammy cashed in their ticket at the office in Raleigh. They purchased it Thursday at the S&G Mart on Highway 301 North in Wilson Thursday.
Evans says he bought $20 worth of the Carolina Cash tickets. Evans is an electrician. Tammy is a daycare teacher and is attending community college to become a schoolteacher.
