Governor Pat McCrory will be making two a stops in eastern North Carolina Tuesday, both focused on children and teens.
The first event is in Lenoir County as the Governor speaks at a leadership event with the Boy Scouts. That noon-time luncheon focuses on the benefit of boy scouting.
Two hours later, the Governor is due in Greenville, on campus at East Carolina University.
At the ECU event, McCrory will be joined by Chancellor Steve Ballard and other local leaders to talk about substance abuse.
The Tuesday event will also highlight a new statewide initiative to combat substance abuse and underage drinking.
The ECU event starts at 2 p.m. In the Mendenhall Student Center.
