If you have any jalapenos or avocados at home, they may not be safe to eat.
There's a recall today of jalapeno peppers and avocados distributed in North Carolina. The problem is salmonella. Right now, state officials don't know which restaurants and grocery stores received the tainted jalapenos and avocados. Until they do, you may wish to consider what you have at home as part of the recall.
Officials say the products came from Texas, so any jalapenos or avocados you bought from a farmers market should be safe.
There's no immediate sign that this recall is apart of the salmonella strain that made 12-hundred people sick nationwide according to officials, but they're looking into it.
