North Carolina's "More at Four" is tops in the country. That's according to Gov. Mike Easley, who announced the findings of a study by the National Institute for Early Education Research. The "More at Four" program helps four year olds prepare for kindergarten by strengthening their language, reading, math and social skills.
The program met all 10 quality standards and is only one of six programs in the entire country to meet at least 9 out of 10 standards set by the institute.
