A Goldsboro Police Officer was shot in the chest Wednesday and survived.
It happened at 1200 East Elm Street when the officer, Captain Brady Thompson, a member of the Wayne County Drug Squad, tried to serve a search warrant. That's when police say he was shot in the chest. The body armor he was wearing may very well have saved his life. The State Bureau of Investigation arrested Bobby Lee Rawlings and charged the 58-year-old with attempted murder. Thompson was treated and released from the hospital.
