He faces three felony charges and is awaiting trial, but that hasn't stopped him from throwing his hat in the ring. Washington County is trying to improve its image after its former Sheriff Stanley James was convicted on embezzlement charges recently. We tried to contact Floyd for comment but couldn't reach him. The county's manager says elected officials are already working on a city county and state level to help improve the image of local law enforcement.
