Retired Helicopter Teaches History of War

Friday's Osprey-22 activation ceremony aboard New River Air Station, officially retired the CH-46E's, an aircraft operated by the military for over 40 years.

This weekend a group of veterans want to save the outdated fleet and for the past 4 years they've been working to get the project off the ground. Veterans rebuilt a CH-46E after they found it in pieces at an Arizona helicopter graveyard. Veteran pilots tell us though the aircraft is outdated for combat use, keeping around the few that are remaining are essential to helping tell the story of wars past.

This group of veterans are raising money to help keep the flying CH-46E's in active duty as flying museums.
