The band's name is "Hope of Freedom." An unusual name for a group of musicians composed of inmates. Men behind bars that say they minister through music. The "Hope of Freedom" band travels all over North Carolina spreading their love of gospel music. The original "Hope of Freedom" band was formed at a prison in Raleigh and then made its way to Neuse Correctional Institution in Wayne County. Band members say they rehearse three times per week, but think about making music each and every day.
