A Martin County man's land is flooded, but the problem is on someone else's property according to county officials.
Martin County Department of Transportation officials say Ameche Burns' land is flooded due to beavers. But Burns says he's never seen a trapper, a beaver on his land, or a beaver dam. He says the county is giving him the run around and not dealing with the problem, a problem that's destroying his land.
Burns' says of his 17 and a half acres, he can only get to four of them, because the other 13 are flooded. However, Kent Davis, a beaver trapper, told us he did remove two beavers from the neighboring property and has plans to blow up a dam he found there.
