They help families in the East through a variety of services. At its annual meeting Wednesday, the United Way of Pitt County got to work on its goals for 2006. Newly elected president Ernest Silver says one of the things they need is more help from the community. They're looking for not only monetary donations, but volunteers to give their time as well.
