The Beaufort County Hospital is getting an extreme makeover and the Golden Leaf Foundation is helping.
The foundation has donated over 300,000 dollars towards the hospital's new look. Architects are now working on renovations because some of the surgical suites were built nearly fifty years ago. Groundbreaking on the project could begin in the spring, bringing at least a dozen new jobs along with it.
Other preparations that have begun include widening the street in front of the facility to allow for more traffic. The project could take about two years to complete.
