An Outer Banks resident was killed Monday night when he lost control of his SUV.
Southern Shores Police say the driver lost control heading North on Duck Road, rolled the vehicle, and careened into the trees at the corner of First Avenue.
Though it happened sometime after 9 p.m., the accident wasn't discovered until early Tuesday morning.
The Highway Patrol hasn't released the name of the driver at this time. No official word yet on what may have caused that accident.
