Hybrid car makers say their vehicles not only help the environment by cutting down on emissions, but can now help put even more money in your pockets.
Ever since the new energy bill went into effect anyone who purchases and takes delivery of a brand new hybrid vehicle will receive up to a $3,150 tax credit. The credit doesn't come off your taxable income, but it does off your tax refund, or what you owe the federal government.
If you buy the vehicle this year you will get that deduction on your 2006 taxes.
