Starting Monday, senior citizens have a new option to help them fight the soaring costs of prescription medicines. However, pharmacists are expecting there to be some issues with the new prescription drug plan.
One big concern is for patients on Medicare and Medicaid, who were automatically enrolled in a program. They're being urged to consult with pharmacists to see if all of their medications are actually covered under the plan selected for them. For patients and pharmacy workers though, the new plan will require patience.
Pharmacists expect big lines during the next few days as people get their prescriptions for the month and adjust to the new Medicare plan.
