Christmas Away From Home

Hurricane Katrina caused the relocation of millions of Gulf Coast residents, who will now spend their Christmas away from home. One such family lives in Washington. Irene Anglin, her sister Rudy Flood and their parents Lena and Edmond Jean Pierre left their home in New Orleans one day before the storm hit.

With Christmas just days away, the family will not spend the holiday like they normally would with the rest of their family and friends. The Jean Pierre's plan on returning to their home in New Orleans in the next few months and the rest of the family will follow shortly thereafter.
