Last week, WITN-7 news told you about how many Greenville Utilities Commission customers will pay more for power in the coming months.
Now, the city of Kinston has announced their customers will see a jump in their electric bills too, an average of 10 percent starting February. Kinston utilities officials say the rate hike is necessary to cover an increase in the city's cost of buying power from its supplier.
A check with the city of Washington confirms customers there will also be paying about 10 percent more for power in the coming months too.
