When Hurricane Ophelia ripped through Atlantic Beach in September, it nearly destroyed the popular Channel Marker restaurant. After months of rebuilding, the restaurant re-opened its doors Thursday night fulfilling a promise made by owner Ed Myers. He says the restaurant is better than ever, and his loyal customers are happy to see the business open once again. Now the main focus is on the restaurant employees. Myers says the restaurant had several holiday parties booked before Hurricane Ophelia. All those parties will go on as scheduled.
