Black Friday has come and gone as billions of dollars were handed over in the countless exchanges between consumer, and producer.
However, every year there are those that want to skip the payment part, and law enforcement was certainly on the scene in Eastern Carolina to try and stop shoplifters. On the whole area businesses say they did a good job. One major chain manager we spoke with said this was a great Black Friday, one thieves did not ruin. Managers at Best Buy said they had only one shoplifter who was apprehended out of the thousands of regular customers that came through the door.
Police say the shoplifter at Best Buy was a minor so no information was available. They say he was trying to steal two video games.
