Residents and visitors of one Outer Banks town took an opportunity on turkey day to raise money for a good cause. It was the Tenth Annual Turkey Trot in Duck, a 5-k run-walk. This year was the biggest turnout for the annual Thanksgiving Day tradition. Organizers allowed 550 entries this year, and had to turn away over one hundred more, because of logistics. The turkey trot supports a different charity each year. This time, proceeds are going to the Dare Education Foundation
