Team Remembers Basketball Player Who Was Killed

He was killed in a drive-by shooting last spring, and Tuesday night his high school paid tribute on the basketball court.

Shakim Warren was a star basketball player for Perquimans County High School. If he were alive today he would be a senior starting in the season opener Thursday against Currituck.

To remember their fallen player, the school opened the game with a moment of silence. The players will also wear a patch on their jersey all season in memory of Shakim.
