Just this Tuesday, municipal election results were made official in the State Board of Elections canvass process. But in Pitt County, it seems the race for one of five Bethel town commissioner seats is not over. Candidate and town barber Nelson Worsley was edged out by 13 votes on November 8th and now he is demanding a recount. State statute allows a request from a candidate who loses by one percent or less. Pitt County Board of Election officials will begin the recount Friday morning at 10 a.m.
