Over the curb and to the bottom of Jacks Creek. That was where one car ended up in the city of Washington Tuesday night. It happened around 8:30 at the corner of Charlotte and Willow Streets. Lawmen say the driver, 18-year-old Timothy Kenneth Oakley, was coming to the intersection when he apparently didn't slow down and flew into the creek. Oakley then came ashore where he was arrested and charged with driving while impaired, and reckless driving, before being transported to Beaufort County Hospital. No one else was in the car.
