Dreary Weather Affecting Cotton Crops

Too cloudy and too much rain. That's the problem many Eastern Carolina cotton farmers are facing this week. Some cotton farmers have already started harvesting cotton. But with no sunlight and too much moisture around, cotton often turns grey causing its value to drop. Cotton gins are also feeling the pinch. When cotton is soaked with water, it cannot be processed until it's relatively dry again.
